This impressive mount is sure to take your astroimaging sessions to the next level.

Harmonic equatorial mounts are renowned for their smooth and precise tracking capabilities, and this Sky-Watcher Wave 100i is no exception. The powerful inner workings feature zero backlash, delivering beautifully accurate GoTo slews and impressively sharp images. In addition to its high performance, ergonomics such as a red LED back-lit latitude adjustment and bubble level make set up easier, and braking functionalities help keep your equipment safe. This workhorse-of-a-mount has also been housed with dual AZ/EQ tracking modes, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and fast slewing of up to 10 degrees per second. Thanks to this excellent craftsmanship from Sky-Watcher, take your astrophotography game to new heights!

Compact Yet Powerful. This New Age Astrophotography Mount Has it All!

Sky-Watcher has packed this Wave 100i with features that are sure to elevate your astrophotography experience. Enjoy smooth, quiet tracking thanks to the robust internal strainwave technology, operate this mount in your preferred manner, and easily connect your computer or other devices through the multiple ports available. The compact body, internal homing functions, and safety mechanism makes this mount perfect for traveling as well as backyard observing! Read more about this astrophotography powerhouse below.

Strainwave Technology
At the core of the Wave 100i is the incredible strainwave gearing that gives this mount its name! Powerful internal motors and gears deliver exceptional high torque and zero backlash. This results in beautifully accurate GoTo slews, and impressively sharp images thanks to its high performance tracking. Designed to work under pressure, this gearing can move up to 22 lbs of equipment without any counter balancing required - and when counter balanced with the Wave Counterweight Kit (sold separately) like a typical worm-drive mount, this jumps an additional 11 lbs. for a max payload capacity of 33 lbs. The best part? This revolutionary drive system isn’t just strong, it’s light too; allowing the Wave 100i head alone to come in at half the weight of a traditionally geared mount in the same weight class! Also, Sky-Watcher has included additional features that make this Wave 100i a cut above the rest. During power failures, the RA brake is automatically engaged to help keep your equipment from falling, and the option to track in AZ mode is perfect for visual observing!

Double the Dovetail Saddles, Double the Data!
The addition of an extra Vixen/Losmandy dovetail saddle is a unique feature of the Wave 100i; opening the doors to a plethora of imaging opportunities! In regions where clear skies are few and far between, this lets you capitalize on these breaks in the clouds by collecting twice the amount of data between two imaging trains. This helps you finish projects in a more timely fashion, while also allowing you to experiment with multiple focal lengths, sensors, and other equipment without having to “waste” a clear night.

Multiple Control Options Covered
Wireless, wired, or standalone control - regardless of which style you prefer, Sky-Watcher has you covered. With WiFi and Bluetooth built in, you’ll be able to easily control the Wave 100i from a distance; with wired PC control available for those who feel more at home with the tried-and-true reliability of a physical connection. We recommend the Apertura Braided USB 2.0 Cable for this type of connection. For those interested in cutting out the PC entirely, this mount is also compatible with the excellent Sky-Watcher SynScan v5 hand controller (sold separately) which places manual control and a GoTo library of 42,000 object in the palm of your hand!

Power and Ports
The large payload capacity this Wave 100i delivers is powered by just 12V 2A DC power, supplied to the mount via a barrel connector cable. Please note: this mount does not come standard with a power supply. We recommend the Apertura Universal 5 AMP AC Adapter . For wired PC control this mount uses the ubiquitous USB-B connection, making finding a suitable cable easy! Finally for those looking to connect accessories, this mount features a hand controller port for use with the Sky-Watcher SynScan v5 (sold separately), as well as an ST4 port that can be used with many popular user supplied guide cameras.

Ideal For Portability and Backyard Observing
Looking for a powerful travel mount or a highly capable mount for at-home use? Then look no further than this Wave 100i! The mount itself only weighs 9.5 lbs, and with the addition of the dedicated Sky-Watcher Carbon Fiber Tripod (not included) only adding 5.3 lbs more, this system is effortless to pack away and carry. The option to add a user supplied SynScan hand controller and the built-in WiFi and Bluetooth simplifies your setup even more, meaning less cords and wires to fumble with. For backyard use, this Wave 100i connects to your PC through the USB-B port. While operating your backyard rig remotely from inside your home, the included RA brake helps keep your equipment safe from toppling over during accidental power failures. This helps give you peace of mind during your night of imaging! Also both RA and DEC axes feature homing functions to make setting the home/zero position a breeze. With features like these, the Wave 100i Strainwave Mount earns our High Point Scientific badge of New Wave Harmonic!
